Description: Do you want to efficiently model retaining walls and rock bolts by using parametric modeling in your daily work with geotechnics or engineering geology? Join our 4-session course and learn how Grasshopper can be used to design typical geotechnical structures. No prior experience is required!

Content: Basics of Rhino and Grasshopper. Setting up Grasshopper script; input data, data trees, data processing, output data, and export. Geotechnical design examples; retaining walls and rock bolting. Python in Grasshopper.

Hardware & software requirements: Own a computer/laptop that fulfills Rhino 7 or 8 system requirements (https://www.rhino3d.com/8/system-requirements/). Installation of Rhino 7 or 8 is recommended before the course (a 90-day free trial version can be downloaded here - https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/evaluation/). Participants are responsible for having an active license available at the course. Microsoft Teams ready video conference equipment: microphone & camera.

Reservations: Course registrations can be canceled with a full refund up to 1 month before the first session and a 50% refund up to 10 days before the first session. Shorter cancellations cannot be refunded. If the minimum number of required participants is not reached up to 10 days before the course, the course will be canceled, and already paid fees will be fully refunded.
