OTC - Offshore Technology Conference is being held for the 50th time in Houston 6-9th May. NGI specialists are main authors of nine scientific papers and co-authors on two other papers, all of which will be presented during the four days of the OTC.

NGI's traditional reception and gathering with friends, clients and partners is held this year at the Houston Zoo, Wednesday 8th May at 5:30 PM.

NGI papers at OTC 2019

OTC 50th blue 100

Below is an overview of the papers that NGI specialists have contributed to and which will be presented during the conference. The academic span is relatively large, including foundation of offshore wind turbines, risk assessment in geotechnical engineering, dynamic landslide modelling of the seabed, and monitoring for CO2 storage.

The paper by Suzanne Lacasse et al., Risk Assessment and Management for the Geotechnical Design of Offshore Installations, won the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineering) award for best paper among all articles in civil engineering at this year's OTC. The award will be given at the OTC Gala Dinner on Tuesday (7th May) night.

Complete technical program for OTC 2019 can be found here.
