NGM er en mangeårig tradisjonell konferanse som holdes hvert fjerde år på rullering i de fem nordiske landene. Sist gang Norge hadde arrangementet var i 2012, da NGI var vertskap. Denne gang holdes NGM2020 i kombinasjon med BSGC2020-Baltic Sea Geotechnical Conference som en digital konferanse, noe forsinket på grunn av pandemien.
