Due to the need for more sophisticated and improved documentation methods in underground excavations, LiDAR technology and 3D scanning has successfully been applied at NGI in tunnels during construction. This film gives a brief introduction to the use of LiDAR technology in underground construction in a drill-and-blast tunnel in Oslo, Norway.
The video was recorded by Newswire in November 2010 for NGI.
