WP1 - Oslo Harbour project evaluation
The Oslo Harbour contaminated sediment remediation project, is one of the largest project of its kind to date in Norway. Disposal of 500.000 m3 of sediments in a controlled aquatic disposal site in Oslo fjord (Norway) has resulted in a lot public unrest, actions from stakeholder groups and attention from the media.

The WP1 will analyse the public decision-making and implementation processes which were utilised in Oslo Harbour using document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. The positions of various stakeholders on the sediment remediation project will be reviewed to determine their impact on project planning and implementation.
The involvement of the various stakeholders in formal and informal decision-processes will be evaluated, as well as the extent to which decisions were based upon consideration of stakeholder interests and concerns. The organisation of formal and informal processes regarding stakeholder participation, including openness and transparency, will be assessed and stakeholder communication strategies will be evaluated.
