Key qualifications
Dr. Gökhan Saygili obtained his Master degree from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2005. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 and joined NGI the same year. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas with experience in geotechnical research and analysis for oil and gas offshore development projects.
His main areas of experience include offshore foundation engineering, offshore soil investigations, and numerical modeling. His research studies are related to geotechnical earthquake engineering with specific emphasis on the probabilistic assessment of geohazards (e.g. earthquake-induced ground failure and soil liquefaction).
He has international experience in the countries of Canada, England, Norway, Macedonia, USA, and Turkey. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE, Geo-Institute) and the chamber of the Turkish Civil Engineers (IMO). He has authored or coauthored over 20 journal and conference publications.
