Key qualifications
Francisco Gabriel Hernandez-Martinez is a geotechnical engineer at NGI Inc. After receiving his Ph D in 2006 from the University of Cambridge, he joined the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute in Oslo and in 2007 he undertook his current position at NGI Inc. in Houston. Throughout his career he has specialized principally in offshore foundations, soil investigations, ground improvement measurements, deep soil mixing, interpretation of recorded seismic response and soil dynamics and he is the author of 22 publications on those aspects. His current research interests are in numerical analyses of offshore foundations, soil characterization, ground improvement with cement-based admixtures and underconsolidated behavior of clayey soils.
