Key qualifications
Amir Rahim graduated from the University of Wales (Swansea) in 1992 with a PhD in Civil Engineering titled "Large Deformation Analyses of Some Problems in Geotechnical Engineering". He worked as an Engineering Applications programmer and IT consultants throughout the 90's. He also worked in the development of the CRISP geotechnical Finite Element software which involved organizing lectures and training world-wide. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as part time lecturer at London South Bank University teaching various civil engineering subjects. He joined NGI Inc in Houston in 2006 as a senior geotechnical engineer. Amir is involved in geotechnical design of suction anchors, driven piles and soil-structure interaction problems using finite element.
