Transport information to NGI Trondheim from Trondheim Airport (Værnes) and from Trondheim Central Station to NGI Trondheim.

By airport express bus:
Continuous departures from Værnes to Trondheim city centre and back to Værnes; 4 departures every hour, weekdays, day and evening. The nearest stop for the airport bus is 'Hotel Royal Garden'. The journey normally takes about 30 minutes from the airport, and the bus stops outside the hotel. This is a five minute walk away from the Pirsenter where NGI is located. Look at the attached map for guidence. For the return journey, the airport bus leaves from Trondheim Central Station. Price one-way ticket: NOK 100. Return ticket: (valid 30-days - no refund) NOK 170.

By airport taxi:
When arriving at Værnes a shared airport taxi can be booked 2 hours prior to flight arrival. You will then be driven directly to NGI. Price NOK 350. When returning from NGI to Værnes you must book 4 hours prior to the flight departure, and will be picked up outside NGI. A regular taxi from Værnes without preordering will at daytime cost you NOK 600-700.

If you arrive at Trondheim Central Station either by bus or train, taxis are available to take you directly to NGI. The short journey normally takes about 3 minutes from the train station to Pirsenteret. Price NOK 100-150.

By train
Værnes train station is in the immediate vicinity of the airport terminal and is served by both local trains to Trondheim or Steinkjer and long-distance trains along Nordlandsbanen all the way to Bodø. Local trains pass through the station approx. once hourly, while Nordlandsbanen passes three times a day on its way to Mo i Rana. Travel time to Trondheim city centre is approx. 37 minutes. Price per adult: NOK 68.

Accommodation
